Plot
Nachiappan married Parvathi despite his parents’ wishes. Their daughter Janani had been born within a few years. They share a home with Parvathi’s brothers Thiruvengadam and Padmavathy, who are parents to two kids of their own.
Nachiappan hopes for a prosperous future for Janani and raises her to put her studies first in life. He has a kind disposition by nature, yet he can also be obstinate and overbearing. His domineering behavior extends to the length of time Janani spends eating, making friends, and watching.
Aadhimuthu Gunasekaran, a Madurai business magnate, visits the family and asks Janani to marry his brother Shakthivel.
