I found a colony of Blue tailed bee eaters couple of years ago in a riverbank .It is always beautiful to get the bird in backlight as the colour of the wings looks complete different. That evening, the light was extremely good ..the birds sometimes flue very close to the shallow water body besides the river… with a high shutter speed I was able to capture this shot where the reflection of evening light creates a magical effect … Location :- Damodar River bank, Burdwan, West Bengal, India Date taken :- 14/05/16, at 4.07 p.m

It was absolutely dark outside our homestay at Bali island in Sunderban Tiger Reserve. Evening snacks were given. We were discussing the images we clicked throughout the day. Suddenly we heard the screeching of an owl nearby. Without wasting time me with my two friends and guide left our nest to find the source. After a rigorous searching, my guide shouted in excitement, pointing out to a branch of a tree. We were amazed. A spotted owlet was sitting there with a rodent in its claw.

I took the portrait of this lion in the Bannerghatta National Park, Karnataka, India in February 2017. All the lions are kept free in a restricted area of the park, where visitors can only go in small numbers in a covered vehicle accompanied by the trained forest personnel. This lion was relaxing in the pleasant winter afternoon sun and allowed me to take his portrait from distance.

A group of double-crested cormorants regularly fish in a large pond about a half mile from my Florida House. Over time, they have come to accept my close presence. In this shot, I used a narrow DOF to hone in on the mesmerizing eyes of the bird.
